*He enjoys surfing, playing soccer, going skiing, going to the gym, martial arts, and snowboarding.
*Walker began acting as a toddler and appeared in commercials throughout his childhood. "I was on just about every '80s sitcom," he says, "like Growing Pains, Charles in Charge and Who's the Boss"), He said he left the show biz to focus on high school. "I wanted to play sports and chase chicks."
* During high school, he stopped working to pursue other interests including football, basketball and baseball. He entered college to study marine biology but soon felt the itch to act again.
*Paul seeks a lady with, "a great smile, a sense of humor and family values--and she has to be into having kids someday, so she can't mind getting a little dirty."
*In "Meet the Deedles", A.J Langer and Paul used real worms for their worm-snarfing scene. "We said, 'Let's use real ones.' And next thing, we were shoving big-daddy night crawlers in our faces. It was raunchy, but at least crused Oreos were used for dirt."
*Paul on his character in She's All That "Dean's license plate says 'Number 1', but he's so not. He tries hard, but Zack always gets the pat on the back. That's why he doesn't want to lose this bet. For once he thinks he has the upper hand."
*Hollywood buzz has it that Paul is the next Brad Pitt. What does Paul have to say about it? "I don't listen to that stuff. It's flattering, but it's weird. I mean, Brad Pitt- he's a total stud, way good-looking and cool, too. I'm just Paul."
*His mother was a model. "I had connections because of Mom." "People that she knew were always asking her, ‘Why don’t you bring your cute son here with you?’ "
*Going back to high school in southern California, Paul participated in football, basketball and baseball, but not the school’s theatre department. "I went to a Christian private school that had a weak drama department," Walker said. "The teacher would always ask me to join though."
*After graduation, he went from one community college to another throughout Southern California, majoring in marine biology.
*"Once I had a taste of acting, I wanted to go back to it," Paul said. "If I were to go back to college though, I’d get a teaching license if there were more money in teaching. I think teaching is so gratifying." (He enjoyed being an instructor for a day when an old girlfriend let him teach her second grade class the multiplication table.)
*"I had a lot of good moments and memories from my own high school experience, but I’m sick of the teen slasher stuff," Paul said. "I like teen romances, but I think I do dramatic scenes the best."
*I always have my surf board strapped on top of the car since I don’t live in one place. Costa Rica would be the ideal place to live if I were going to settle down. I love nature and the green, but I hate the city.
*Paul doesn’t ever like to watch his own movies
*When he was featured in Cosmopolitan magazine, his friends decided to decorate his mirrored closet doors with Xeroxed copies and messages of "I love Paul" written in lipstick. Paul said, "I’ve known them since we were little, so to them, I’m still a scrub."
*What kind of pranks did Paul and his friends pull in high school? "We would take shampoo bottles out of the showers and dump them out. Then, we’d refill them with mustard or ketchup and wait until they squeezed it into their hair."
*A fan that met Paul described him as "completely laid back and down to earth." She also "didn't think that he would be so open."
*Keeping a level head about fame, Paul hopes to one day continue in the movie business as a producer.
*"I would love to do Brad Pitt’s role in 12 Monkeys and I have a fascination with the Medieval Period like in Braveheart," Paul said "The Cohen brothers are also way up there. I loved Raising Arizona and I’d like to work with Harrison Ford and Paul Newman."
*Paul looks up to actors such as Jeff Daniels and Tom Hanks, because of their ability to do roles from serious to funny.
*"I didn’t click with Freddie [Prinze, Jr.] at first, but we got along," he said.
*On the set of Varsity Blues, Paul found James van der Beek to having an ego and being a bit self-absorbed.
*Paul did make friends with Erik MacArthur from "Pleasantville" and thought Scott Caan from "Varsity Blues" was extremely funny.
